The aim of this book series is to publish high quality manuscripts at affordable prices giving an up-to-date and clear presentation at different levels of understanding, ranging from general interest to specialist research monographs in the three following fields:

Nanotechnology. A fast growing science and technological field with applications in many areas such as health, materials, information processing, daily life applications, energy, security, etc.. Material science. Materials are present everywhere and are needed to build all objects which are around us. Mastering materials at the theoretical and practical level is a strategic asset. It is necessary to be aware and understand the last developments in this field.

Energy technology A field of increasingly high economic and societal importance which today is witnessing a very strong evolution. New energy technologies are becoming of strategic importance in international economical competition.

This Atlantis series is intended to provide the reader synthetic books at different levels of depth in the three fields quoted above to learn, understand and master different technologies together with their implications at the economic and societal level.

All book proposals submitted to this series will be reviewed by the series editor. After the book has been completed, it will be reviewed in its entirety by one dedicated editor. Only after this review will the book be published.

The series aims at publishing original research books. We aim at offering a fast turnaround time so that the books in this series will be published in a timely manner. Furthermore, the books will be reasonably priced, allowing them to be bought not only by institutional buyers but also by interested individuals, thus exposing the books to the widest possible audience.
